Friends of West London Opera

Preparing this year's production of "The Merry Widow" has, as usual, involved a great deal of hard work from everybody, both from performers and the invaluable volunteers behind the scenes. It has also been a great deal of fun and I hope you had the chance to see our performances in May last year at the Questors Theatre. And of course we couldn't do it without the support of our audience. But in addition to coming along to the show, there is another way in which you can show your support for WLO – by becoming a Friend.

Membership of the Friends of WLO has several benefits – please see the downloadable form below. But most of all, Friends of WLO know that they are supporting the work of the group – enabling grand opera to be performed in West London, and so giving singers (many of them young ones at the start of a professional career) the opportunity to perform complete operatic roles on stage. Singing isn't the only aspect of putting on opera – there is stage management, set design, make-up & costumes and directing. Some people who have trained and worked with us have gone on to work with companies like ENO and Opera North and companies around the globe including Opera Paris and the Met in New York.

Our Friends receive discounts for all WLO performances and Social Events, discounts vary with the type of package. In addition there will be regular newsletters and advance notification of various social functions and events. These events have included barbecues, quizzes, sing-a-longs and beetle drives plus visits to see other companies perform.

To become a Friend of WLO download the form below which can be printed and sent to Friends of West London Opera, 3 Richardson House, 13 Malting Way, Isleworth, TW7 6SD or contact us here.

We hope that you will join us in this very special way and look forward to meeting you at our events.
